Vascular Lab in Tucson, Arizona

Vascular Lab

Our vascular lab is accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission®. We are only one of four organizations in all of Southeast Arizona to be accredited in three or more areas of vascular ultrasound imaging. Accreditation attests to a vascular laboratory following certain recognized standards of testing, reporting, and accuracy.

Equipment

The equipment in our state-of-the-art vascular lab allows non-invasive imaging of almost any artery or vein in the body. Not only can they be seen, but the blood flow through them can be measured and heard. The workhorse for this is the GE Logiq S-8® seen here.

There is also a more portable second unit, GE Logiq E®, for the interventional suite and used in our venous treatment room. Physiologic testing with the CorVascular Falcon Pro® allows the evaluation of how well these blood vessels are functioning.

Comfortable Positioning

Our motorized vascular bed from Oakworks® permits comfortable patient positioning during testing, especially when an upright position is optimal for the evaluation. Instead of standing, they merely recline, thereby simulating an upright position. It also lowers to allow wheelchair patients easier transfers on and off.

Digital Examinations

All examinations are stored digitally via a national web-based PACS system (Core Sound Imaging®, Inc.) at four redundant sites across the country for maximum security. Access to these tests by the referring physician can be obtained directly from their offices anywhere in the world where there is an internet connection. These examinations are read and ready for transmission to the patient’s physicians within 24 hours after completion.
